Another dispatch from the global warming trenches

Posted by sanityinjection on March 4, 2009

You really have to read this stuff to believe it. Over on the “Watts Up With That?” science blog, they’ve got details on comments made by University of Texas “Research Science Associate” Professor Michael Tobis, in which he morally equates any criticism of Al Gore’s propaganda with killing 1,000 people:

I can’t make this stuff up, folks. These people are so puffed up with their own self-righteousness that they are no longer living in the same reality as the rest of us.

If you read through the comment trail on the original blog, you see this guy’s desparate attempt to defend his comments as being taken out of context. Bottom line is this guy appears to be a joke — he’s not even a climate scientist. Why should we even care what he says?

Also, don’t waste your time reading the comment trail above unless you want to dive into a tailspin of academic semantics-speak. Though, this post about Tobis’ recursive argument recalled my days as a college Philosophy major 🙂

  2. Andrew Dessler who is about 100 miles away from Austin has a post on this website asking if Global Warming Skeptics should be burned at the stake? James Hansen has said he thinks Global Warming Skeptics should be criminally prosecuted.

If they had true confidence in their science, they would not have to take such extreme positions. I have never heard a climate realists suggest that global warming alarmists
should be harmed in some way.

Anyone who wants to view the types of lies being used by the alarmists should view The Great Global Warming Swindle. Please pass this link on to other realists. Thanks.
